We are delighted to invite you to join COLLABORATIVE PROFESSIONALS OF WASHINGTON (CPW), the only state-wide association for legal, financial, mental health and conflict resolution professionals involved in Collaborative Practice across Washington State.
Membership in CPW will:
- provide you an opportunity to show your support for the use of Collaborative Practice as a way to resolve a wide variety of disputes without utilizing adversarial court-based litigation
- make you a part of an organization that is making a difference, and changing the way that those in conflict can respectfully resolve their disputes
- show your support to CPW as the statewide organization that seeks to educate the public, and your peers, about the inherent advantages that Collaborative Practice offers to the public
- provide you the opportunity to support the spread of Collaborative Practice throughout Washington
Interest in Collaborative Practice is growing by leaps and bounds as more and more people seek an alternative to litigation and an increasing number of lawyers turn to more respectful and efficient ways of handling their clients legal matters. Our mission is to make Collaborative Practice the first choice in dispute resolution by promoting and expanding Collaborative Practice statewide, making Collaborative Practice known to the public, and encouraging and fostering Collaborative Practice excellence.
CPW was also formed to be the statewide point of contact for the public about Collaborative Practice. We will be coordinating our public outreach efforts with the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) as well as with local Collaborative Practice associations to ensure that our message is consistent, professional and far-reaching. CPW will serve as a central resource for education, networking and standards of practice for individual practitioners, practice groups and local associations. We have and will continue to assist local community Collaborative Practice groups and associations in the provision of Collaborative Practice training at the local level to ensure that persons interested in Collaborative Practice have the opportunity to attain the training and necessary skills.
We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about Collaborative Practice. We also invite you to join CPW. Information about becoming a member of CPW is listed below.
We look forward to adding you to our broad base of members as we bring a collaborative choice to all parts of the state!
